Family Violence Unit

Our Family Violence Unit assists with survivors of family violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child abuse.

What is Family Violence?

Family Violence is a pattern of behaviors used by one partner to maintain power and control over another partner in an intimate relationship.

These behaviors can be ones that physically harm, cause fear, prevent a partner from doing what they want, or force them to behave in ways they don't want.

What is Human Trafficking?

Human Trafficking is a violation of human rights in which victims are exploited for either labor or sexual acts for profit.

Sex Trafficking is when an individual uses force, fraud, or coercion to recruit, harbor, transport, provision, obtain, patronize, or solicit someone else for a commercial sex act.
